ONEPLUS 7 PRO: SHOULD YOU BUY ONE?

Overview:

Oneplus 7 Pro comes with a 6.67 inch Quad HD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 516PPI . It is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset with Adreno 640 GPU coupled with 6GB/128GB , 8GB/256 and 12GB/256GB configurations which supports UFS 3. 0 storage which is first in a smartphone.

It has a triple camera setup with a main 48MP camera , 16MP Ultrawide and 8MP telephoto camera .The rear camera is capable of recording 4k at 60fps and has optical image stabilisation which is expected at this price point. The front camera is a popup type 16MP shooter . It has Nightscape 2.0 which takes bright photos even in pitch dark conditions.

The in-display fingerprint scanner is faster than the previous versions seen on Oneplus 6T though it is still an optical one and not ultrasonic as seen on Samsung S10+ which is more secure.

The charger is a Warp charge 30W (5V/6A) which is the fastest charger available from Oneplus .

Should you buy one?

If you have a budget of  Rs 50000($649-$799)  then Oneplus 7 pro is a good buy . But in my opinion Oneplus 7 pro does not hold the “FLAGSHIP KILLER” status and with a price tag of that high, it is not cheap. I would personally recommend you to wait for the Xiaomi redmi K20/K20 Pro (Poco F2/ F2 pro in some markets) as it will come with almost the same specs with an expected price tag of Rs 30-35k(Pro version) or opt for the samsung S10+ which has some premium features which are missing on Oneplus 7 pro.
